Mary Hollis Steely Warren's Obituary
Mary H. Steely-Warren, age 90, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away peacefully on April 13, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was a devoted wife to the late Vernon B. Steely until his death in Dec. 1981 and to the late L. E. Warren until his death in May 2010. She was a loving and caring Mother to her daughter Judy S. King, son-in-law Rev. Ron King, her son John A. Steely, daughter-in-law Lynda Steely and her deceased son V. Dan Steely. She was blessed to have five grandchildren Rev. Greg Steely and wife Monica, Gary Steely and wife Kristy, Tommy King and wife Serena and Dr. Jon King and wife Mary Rose, and Terry Cook and nine great grandchildren, Joy Cook, Caleb King, Kyle King, Rhett King, Karis Steely, Jaana Steely, Collin Steely, Paxton Steely and Landon King and she has one surviving brother and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and Rita McDuffies Sunday School Class. She enjoyed Ballroom dancing with her friends at the Cobb County Senior Center's. The family would like to extend a special appreciation to her Caregiver Linda Kimbrell and to the staff at Tranquility Hospice of Wellstar for the love and care they showed to our Mother/MeMaw during her illness. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and funeral service will be held on Monday, 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home. 1975 East/West Connector in Austell, with interment to be at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta on Tuesday. The Rev. Rodney Carson and Rev. Ron King of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and Rev. Greg Steely of CBC Church in Highlands, NC will officiate.
