Mary Alice Riddle's Obituary
Mary Alice Riddle, age 90, of Atlanta passed away October 21, 2024. Mary Alice was born to George and Nellie Smith in Atlanta. At the age of 16, Mary Alice married the love of her life, Samuel E. Riddle, and the two were inseparable until his death in 2005.
Mary Alice was a wonderful homemaker and always made sure her family felt loved and cared for. She loved fiber arts and especially excelled at crochet and needlepoint. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed.
Mary Alice is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel E. Riddle; six brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by her children, Gary Riddle (JoAnn) of Slidell, LA, Gale Kauffmann (Michael) of Villa Rica; and Lee Riddle (Lynn) of Carrollton; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and assorted nieces.
A funeral service honoring Mary Alice’s life will be held Friday, October 25, 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:00 to 1:00 PM before the service.
