It was a privilege and pleasure to take care of Mrs. Alan here at the Hemapheresis center. I know I speak for everyone when I say she was always to sweet and kind to everyone. She was always so positive and kept her sense of humor despite her many battles with health issues. We were happy to help any way we could because she and Mr Alan were always so gracious and kind. I am truly grateful for the past year I had with Liz. It didn't take long at all to love Liz with her unique sense of humor and passion for people. Liz always kept me on my toes with her comments, jokes, and adventurous stories. Her love for music and games was magnetic. She was always willing to try something new no matter how she felt that day. She was tough, resilient, and a fighter. It's hard to explain the special bond Liz and I formed throughout the ups and downs of her journey over this past year, but I can tell you I am incredibly honored that I was by her side. I started as her recreation therapist and ended as a beloved friend. I felt like family when I was in her home. Most of all, I will remember Liz's love for her family. She would absolutely light up around the grandbabies. Watching Liz with Rick, Ashley, and AIicia was a comedy show. The 60th birthday party they threw for her was so special, thought-out, and a true testament to how much Liz was loved! I will forever be touched by this family and the legacy of Liz. She will be greatly missed, but may her light continue to shine with all of her incredible stories of touching so many lives.
