Martin Richmond Bosworth's Obituary
Martin Richmond Bosworth, Jr. (Richie) passed away peacefully at his home in Marietta, GA, on December 30th, 2025, after a courageous, decades-long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Richie is the oldest child of Martin Richmond Bosworth, Sr., and Patricia Posey Bosworth. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 14 years, Charity Mayo Bosworth, his granddaughter Emberlee Beth Kiker, his father, Martin Richmond Bosworth, Sr. and his brother Jeffrey Neal Bosworth(Lisa). He is preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Beth Kiker, his mother, Patricia Posey Bosworth and his brother Bradley Alan Bosworth(Patrica).
Richie was born in Macon, Georgia, on February 15th, 1963. His father was owner of Bosworth and Associates Insurance agency, and his mother was a very dedicated stay at home Mom. He attended and graduated from Gilead Christian Academy as the Salutatorian of his class in 1981. Then he attended Mercer University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 1985. During these years, he was an active member of Mabel White Baptist Church. He became a follower of Jesus early in his life and spent most of his time outside of school with friends from his church youth group.
After graduation, Richie began working for HBO&Company in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a very talented software developer that was well respected for his technical abilities. He later began working as an instructor teaching Microsoft Certification classes and eventually became a consultant at several technical companies.
Richie’s friends and family knew him as a very humorous person who was always pondering his next witty remark. He was very artistic and enjoyed drawing and designing custom car paint designs.
He was a loyal son, husband, brother, father and friend that everyone enjoyed being around. Most of all, he lived a godly, Christian life, so when he passed into eternity, he came face to face with Jesus as he was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven.
Richie’s professional life was cut short when he was diagnosed with a life-altering disease. However, he fought vigorously for half of his life, battling the disease and the physical restraints that he suffered from.
Richie will be forever loved and remembered by his family and friends.
Rest in Peace, Richie.
