While reminiscing with my Dad (Marshall's brother ,David,) he told me how Marshall became Mickey. I too called him Uncle Mickey into my early adult years when he told me it was no longer Mickey. So, my uncle Marshall became Mickey when he was a very young boy playing under the dining room table & going in & out of the chairs like a mouse (Mickey Mouse)so their Uncle Bruce began calling him Mickey & it stuck into his adult years.
I remember he let my dad store the ski boat at his house so we would get to visit every time we dropped the boat off. Lots of joking around & memories. Always admired their garden. Now we have a good one too.
And, I remember when he showed us the first wood bowl he had made in a woodworking class & I was very impressed. Fast forward a few decades he had a positive impact with my sons. In fact, I believe he & my father saved the life of one of my sons & the woodworking was an important part of that process. I will be forever grateful. Love you very much Marshall.
