Marlene Jones' Obituary
Marlene Jones, age 78, of Marietta passed away May 14, 2020. Since 1982, Marlene has been a member of Central Baptist Church in Marietta. She was very active in the church, and was a part of Central’s Quilting Club, Women of the Vine, and loved to sing in the choir. Among her other interests were music, reading, and gardening…but above all, she loved her family. Marlene always said that children and pets loved her, and that is an attestation to her kind spirit. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, who will be dearly missed.
Marlene is preceded in death by her husband, William “Pete” Jones; and daughter, Angela Davis. She is survived by her children, Joel (Debbie) Jones of Powder Springs and Vickie (Bob) Morrison of Cumming; grandchildren, Tanya (Levi), Terry, Troy, Matthew, Brittany, Amber, Mandy, Ryan, Leslie, and Kristin; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Hailey, Lyric, Brianna, Bella, Callie, Cheston, Maddie, Lauren, Ryan, Brooke, Keira, Toby, and Brodie; siblings, Gary Slaton of Chatsworth and Nancy Pettit of Dalton; and son-in-law, Danny Davis.
