Marjorie Beatrice Gordon's Obituary
Mrs. Marjorie Beatrice Gordon, 90 of Powder Springs died Thursday, January 20, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Woodrow Gordon. Mrs. Gordon was a LPN who performed private duty nursing in homes throughout Atlanta, Buckhead, and locally in the Cobb area. She enjoyed caring for and nurturing her patients. She loved to spend time with her family and placed them first in her life, she loved to cook and to sew. A resident of Powder Springs Nursing and Rehab for seven years where she enjoyed a multitude of activities, but will remembered most for her spunk and love of singing. Her favorite songs were: " You are my Sunshine", "When the Saints go Marching In" and her all time favorite was, "At the Cross". She loved each of those who provided care for her daily and many became her family.Survived by children, Judy Jabaley and her husband, Eugene Jabaley of Woodstock; Carole Jenkins and her husband Gary Jenkins of Marietta; Tommy Gordon and his wife, Karen Gordon of Douglasville; 10 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; Three Great Great Grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held Saturday 11:00 AM, Mozley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday 4-7 pm at the funeral home.
