Margaret Nicholas' Obituary
Margaret Raburn Nicholas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at 99. Married to Stephen Etner Nicholas for nearly 52 years, she built a home so full of love that her grandchildren were never quite sure who was family by blood and who simply stayed.
An avid gardener, gifted artist, and founding member of the South Cobb Arts Alliance, Margaret’s flowers and paintings brought beauty to all who knew her. Her artwork still graces the walls of friends and family near and far — a lasting smile from a woman who loved people deeply.
She is survived by two children, Mark (Ellen) Nicholas and Peggy (Terry) Torrance; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Gwen Brock, Janice Perkerson, and Rebecca Wall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen; sons, Lloyd Nicholas and Jeff Nicholas.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jonier Orozco and Elder Bill Torrance officiating.
Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service on Tuesday from 11:30 AM- 1:00 PM.
