Margaret Sheridan Moir's Obituary
Margaret Sheridan Moir passed away on July 9, 2026. Marageret was born on July 7, 1933, in Airdrie, Scotland. Following her formal education, she traveled Europe extensively and came to America in the summer of 1960, where she met and married her beloved husband John on June 24, 1961. The family resided in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, Clarkston, Michigan, and White Lake, Michigan. Upon retirement, Margaret and John spent winters in Stuart, Florida, enjoying the sun, beach, family, and many new and old friends in their retirement community.
Margaret moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 2013 following her husband's death to live near her daughters, Anne Marie and Cherie. She lived independently with her beloved dogs (Rusty, Beca) until her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hutchison Moir; parents, John and Bridget Sheridan; and siblings, May McGuire, James Sheridan, Bart Sheridan, Peter Sheridan, and Anne Crawford.
She is survived by her son, John Alexander Moir; daughters, Anne Marie Moir and Cherie Drenzek; grandchildren, Ian Moir, Chad Hanson (Jennifer), Chastity West, and Justin Faught (Allison), their families; and many nieces and nephews in Scotland, Ireland, and England.

Per Mum's wishes, funeral mass and arrangements will be held in Airdrie, Scotland, at a later date.
