McKenney, Margaret “Tootsie” Hendrick
Margaret “Tootsie” McKenney passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family, on July 11, 2017. She was born on August 27, 1928 in Conley GA. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Katron Hendrick. She attended Powder Springs School and graduated in 1945. She married George B. McKenney on April 17, 1949. They were happily married for 68 years and are the parents of seven children.
Margaret is survived by her husband, George B. McKenney and children: Greg McKenney (Kathy) of Roswell, GA; Gloria Hawley (Michael) of Glendale, CA; Sheri Depew (Michael) of Tekonsha, MI; Marguerite Craig (David) of Kennesaw, GA; Linda Wolfgramm (Stuart) of Kennesaw, GA; Georgette Rowley (David) of Spanish Fork, UT; and Suzette Joyner (Nathan) of Oviedo, FL; 31 grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren; She is also survived by her sister Carolyn Harris of Austell; Benny Hendrick (Helen) of Austell and Linda Brantley (Kenneth) of Powder Springs.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home, Funeral Service will be held Thursday, 3:00 PM and she will lie in state from 2:00-3:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 4680 Hadaway Rd. Kennesaw, GA. Interment at Powder Springs City Cemetery.
