Malvina T. "Molly" DuFresne's Obituary
Mrs. Malvina “Molly” T. DuFresne, age 89, passed away peacefully in the afternoon hours of July 25, 2009. She was born in Oxford, Massachusetts on February 1st, 1920. While later living in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, she met her husband, Roger. They married in 1949. She was generous in nature, donating to many animal shelters, to charities and was a volunteer with the Worcester Art Museum in Massachusetts. Molly was an avid gardener and an accomplished painter: oil portraits were among her specialties. She worked professionally for many years as a medical secretary at the University of Massachusetts hospital system. In 2002 Molly and Roger moved to Atlanta, Georgia to live near their youngest son, Jeffrey. Her passing will leave a void in many lives and she will be greatly missed by her family. She is survived by her children, Craig DuFresne (wife, Katherine) of Potomac, Maryland and Jeffrey DuFresne (wife, Jodi) of Atlanta, Georgia; and three grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 28th from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home in Austell. A graveside service will be held on August 1st at 11:00 AM at the Mountain View Cemetery in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Howard C. Allen Funeral Home will handle the Massachusetts arrangements.
