Luther J. "Shorty" Blair Sr.'s Obituary
Luther J. “Shorty” Blair, Sr, age 78 of Mableton, passed away October 7, 2012. He retired from the City of Atlanta after 25 years. He was a member of Olive Springs Baptist Church. He loved football, western movies, and his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly Blair and son Junior Blair. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and Brian Sluder of Mableton; Dana and Stacy Lee of Temple; son, Artie Blair of Templeton; grandchildren, Richie Blair, Chris Sluder, Margo Lance, Leslie Emory, Breana Blair, Taylor Blair, and Landon Lee. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday 4:00-8:00 PM at Davis Struempf Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
