Lucrezia Cagliani's Obituary
Lucrezia “Lucy” Bozzetti Cagliani, 90 of Mableton, GA went to heaven on September 17, 2022. She was born in Trani, Italy on May 18, 1932 and grew up in Milan, Italy. She married George Cagliani in 1954 and immigrated to the United States to begin a new and better life.
She and George joined her family in Chicago, IL where she put her talents as a seamstress to work. She started her career as a homemaker as well and they eventually moved to Atlanta, Georgia. She became very involved at St John Vianney Catholic Church, singing in the choir and participating in many activities. On January 22, 2011 she was voted Woman of the Year and was recognized by The Atlanta Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women for faithful service and sustained effort in fostering the ideals of Christian living. She was very proud of this honor.
She is survived by her children, Grace Cagliani Kidd, Leonardo Cagliani (Jennifer), Joseph Cagliani (Danah), Roger Cagliani and Michael Cagliani (Sandra). Her grandchildren Kristin Kidd Settles (Jason), Kelly Kidd Mangum, Kimberly Kidd, Jonathan Cagliani, Joey Cagliani, Joshua Cagliani (Rachel), Kyle Cagliani (Lauren), Jacob Cagliani (Jessica), Karly Cagliani-Gonzales (Chase) and Courtney Lopez (Blas). She is survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm on September 22, 2022 at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home located at 1975 East-West Connector, Austell, GA 30106. Graveside service to follow at Sunrise Gardens on Veterans Memorial Highway in Douglasville, Georgia.
