Lorenzo Flowers Sr.'s Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Lorenzo Flowers, Sr. on June 22, 2023. Lorenzo was born on December 9, 1963 in Troy, Alabama, the only child of the late LeVaughn Flowers, Sr and his mother Carolyn. Years later, Carolyn remarried and Lorenzo became the oldest son of Alvin Ford, Sr. and Carolyn Ford.
Lorenzo was a man of many roles and touched the lives of countless individuals during his time with us. His departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever remain etched in our hearts.
Lorenzo was an Army brat who enjoyed traveling and experiencing different cultures, playing football, JROTC and nurturing friendships. This upbringing instilled in him a sense of adventure and resilience that would shape his character throughout his life. He carried the values of discipline, dedication, and loyalty from his military background, which served him well in all his management endeavors.
Lorenzo was a father to his beautiful, smart and talented children, Lorenzo LeVaughn Flowers, Jr., Kesha Victoria Flowers, and Alicia Michelle Flowers (Mother, Sharon Moore), and Kennedy Brianna Flowers, Lorenzo Deon Flowers, Aaron LaVaughn Flowers, and Amanda Rayna Flowers (Mother, Michelle Key). Lorenzo's children were his pride and joy, and he leaves behind a legacy of strength in his children.
Professionally, Lorenzo excelled as a general manager, displaying exceptional leadership skills and an unwavering commitment to his team. He was respected and admired by his colleagues, who often sought his guidance and expertise. His dedication to his work was evident in the results he achieved and the impact he made on those around him.
While Lorenzo was a remarkable professional, his true essence shone through as a father, son, brother, best friend and a lighthearted soul. He had an infectious laughter that could brighten the darkest of days. His loved ones were drawn to his magnetic personality, and he never failed to bring joy and laughter into their lives. Lorenzo had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued, and his presence could instantly light up a room.
Lorenzo's memory will forever be cherished by his children, parents, siblings, Anita Ford and Alvin Ford, aunts, uncles, cousins and best friends. He leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire them.

A celebration of Lorenzo Flowers, Sr.'s life will be held on Friday, August 25 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, Ga.
