Lloyd Alton Smith's Obituary
Lloyd Alton Smith, age 70, of College Park passed away July 27th, 2023.
Lloyd was an avid outdoorsman who loved the simple joy of sitting around a fire, hunting in the woods, or fishing on a peaceful lake. His other hobbies included collecting coins. He was gentle, generous, helpful man, and was always quick with a joke.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, Dorsey and Lois Smith; and first wife, Doris Smith. He is survived by his daughter, Tina Fanning of Buchanan; siblings, Nina Smith Derrick of College Park and Charles R. Smith (wife, Jill) of Gadsden, AL; grandchildren, Trey, Jason, and Daymon; three nephews; two nieces; and his beloved cat, Lester.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, July 30th, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 5th, 11:00 AM at Noonday Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Allan Thames officiating.
