Linda Jean Skinner's Obituary
Linda Jean Skinner, age 76, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on Friday, December 1, 2023.
Linda was born in Atlanta, Georgia, attended South Cobb High School in Austell, and lived in Mableton and Powder Springs throughout her life. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Donald, for over 47 years; loving mother to her son, Brian; and beloved Nana to her granddaughters, Charlotte and Amelia.
Linda was a member of Macland Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Georgia. Previously, she was a longtime member of Mableton First Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Skinner; and parents, Harold Tibbetts and Dorothy Payne Tibbetts of Mableton, Georgia. She is survived by son, Brian; daughter-in-law, Carrie; and granddaughters, Charlotte and Amelia Skinner. She is also survived by her brother, Dwight Tibbetts; and sister, Lesa Tibbetts; sisters-in-law, Kathy Skinner Tibbetts and Jeanie Skinner Swickard; brother-in-law Terry Skinner; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 7th from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home in Austell, Georgia. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 8th at First Baptist Church of Mableton at 11:00am. Interment to follow the service at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
