Leon Strickland's Obituary
Leon Strickland, age 69, of Marietta passed away Saturday, March 5th 2016. Leon served in the US Army and he was the Co-Founder and Vice-President of Division 5, Inc. He enjoyed fishing, Johnny Cash, Nascar, Florida Gators, Atlanta Braves, but most of all, his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady Strickland and Fannie Holland; sisters, Linda McClough and Carla Strickland, and brother, Roger Strickland. He is survived by his children, Kevin and Auree Strickland of Tennessee; Lon and Helen Strickland of Atlanta; Patricia Strickland of Mableton, grandchildren, Chris, J.J., Merita, Ronald, Abbie, Granville and Emma Strickland; Miriam and Desmond Strickland. He is also survived by his siblings, Pat and Billy Arnold of Webster, FL, Grady Strickland of Arizona, Darril and Sissi Strickland of Florida, Bruce and Carol Strickland of Alabama, Paul Strickland and Jay Strickland both of Texas, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 9th at 2:00PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Brice officiating. The interment will be at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens following the service. The family will receive friends Monday and Tuesday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home.
