CANCEL, Leila
Mrs. Leila Cancel, of Marietta, passed away Sunday morning, May 22, 2011. She was age 49. A beloved kindergarten teacher and active in the public ministry of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Leila will be widely missed. Her survivors include: her son, Ian Jacob Cancel, age 12, and husband, Edward Cancel, Jr., both of Marietta; her parents, Rafael and Noelia Medina, of Powder Springs; her aunt and uncle, Carmen and Lionel Rodríguez, of Bolivia; her uncle, José Alberto Serrano, her cousin, Mitchell Serrano, both of New York; Irene Adames, her mother-in-law and Gerardo Cancel, her brother-in-law. Visitation will take place Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Thursday from 10:00 am to noon, at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home and Crematory, 1975 East-West Connector, Austell, Georgia 30106. Burial will occur Thursday at 1:00 pm at Powder Springs Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3:00 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4850 Ewing Rd, Austell, GA 30106, Frederick Hiltbrand officiating.
