L.D. Blackmon's Obituary
Mr. L.D. Blackmon,86 of Douglasville died Tuesday, March 1, 2011. He retired as Owner/Operator of Amoco Service Station in Douglasville, member of Highest Praise Church of God and loved fishing, rabbit hunting and The Atlanta Braves. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Bea Harris Blackmon; children, Darlene & Daryl Smallwood of Douglaville, Jenny Evans of Mableton; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchldren; Brothers, Ed Blackmon of Conyers and Johnny Blackmon of Austell. Funeral Services will be held Thursday 1:00 pm, Davis-Struempf Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel. Rev. Tony Stallings officiating. Interment, Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
