Larry Norris Strickland's Obituary
Larry Norris Strickland, age 67 of Marietta, passed away May 5, 2026.
Larry proudly served four years in the Marine Corps including a deployment in Beirut. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Anna May Strickland, treating her like a princess and nurturing their relationship with love and respect. Larry was not only a committed partner, but a cherished friend to many. He was always just a phone call away.
He will be remembered as a gifted cook by those lucky enough to share a meal with him. He had a special place in his heart, especially for dogs, and all creatures big and small. His passion for building with his hands was matched only by his artistic talent as a drawer. He brought life and beauty to his garden that he loved to maintain. Larry also loved the Lord and never let his faith waver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vaughn and Elsie Strickland.
In addition to his wife Anna May, Larry is survived by many beloved family members.
An inurnment service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 19th 2:30 PM.
Flowers are accepted, or in lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks donations to be made in Larry’s honor to the American Legion, https://mylegion.org/PersonifyEbusiness/Donate#legion-org, or any veteran organization.
