LaRosa Julius Siggers' Obituary
Larosa Julius Siggers, born in Chicago Illinois on September 27, 1954 belonged to the streets and as such you must consult the streets for exact details of his life. His later years were spent with his two daughters, his grandson, and his first wife, Laverne, in Mableton, Georgia. His final years were spent telling stories of his days in Chicago being a "Mac", his good times with friends, and the love of his life, Gwen.
Anyone with his heart condition would have settled down from the street life to take it easy, but not Julius. He constantly forgot to take his medicine, refused to use his cane, and lied repeatedly about his daily exercise regime which included jumping rope. Luckily, no one believed him so we all enjoyed the laugh and decided we would be in charge of the medicine.
Julius is survived by his saintly daughters, Latisha and Santasha who inherited his sick sense of humor; his son, Phillip; seven grandchildren, and his beloved sister, Diane. He was preceded in death by his mother; brother; and his beloved Gwen.
A memorial service honoring his life will be held Saturday, August 21st, 12:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Chaplain Stanley Samuel officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 before the service.
