Kevan Butler's Obituary
Kevan Butler passed away on November 18th 2016 aged 64. He was born in West London in England and came to live in the United States in August of 2001. He is survived by his wife of forty years Jaquie, his two daughters Natalie and Jaye, and his sister Tracy.
He had four nephews and six nieces and was a fun and loving grandad to William, Tallulah, Rose, Dixie and Beau who all called him Pops.
Kevan always had a passion for aeroplanes, spending time as a youngster plane-spotting. He could name any plane on sight, even if it appeared as a a mere spot high in the sky. This interest would later lead him to seek employment around aeroplanes, and he worked at Heathrow Airport in London, England for more than thirty years. In the United States he worked at Hartsfield Airport in Atlanta where he was still working.
His interests were mostly his family but he really enjoyed an afternoon's fishing with his buddies, followed by a couple of beers. He was very clever and knew all sorts of facts and information that others didn't, so everyone wanted him on their team for a game of Trivial Pursuit. He had a great sense of humour, with a gift for making any tall-tale funny, which made many family gatherings an opportunity for a good belly laugh.
He was liked and highly respected by all who knew him, and leaves a large, gaping hole in the lives of all his family and friends.
A memorial service for Kevan will be held on Saturday, 26th November at 2pm at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home and Crematory, 1975 East-West Connector, Austell, Georgia 30106. Reception to be held afterwards at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers other than close family, donations may be made to the same organisations as were made for my brother: aih.org/newnan or hpvandme.org.
