Kenneth Post's Obituary
Kenneth Post, age 90, of White and formerly of Marietta, passed away May 6, 2023. Kenneth was born in Tampa, FL to Loyd and Daisy Post. When he was 11, his family moved to the Sugar Valley area. At 18, he met the love of his life, Mary Frances Abernathy, and the two married in 1951. They moved to Marietta and raised their beautiful family off of Cheatham Hill Road.
Kenneth had a long career at Ford Motor Company, and was a “Ford Man” through and through. He retired from Ford after 30 years of service. In his free time, he was an avid outdoorsman and loved to go fishing.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Frances Post; daughter, Belinda Hood; and eight siblings.
He is survived by his children, Dianne Darling (spouse, Tom) of Forsyth County, Walter Post of Marietta, Robert Post (spouse, Julie) of Milledgeville, Levon Mabery (spouse, Kip) of Acworth, and Lizza Lankford (spouse, Barry) of Clarkdale; son-in-law, Johnny Hood of Smyrna; siblings, Carson and Patsy; grandchildren, Jeremy, Buck, Josh, Daniel, Shane, and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Nick, Drake, Talon, and Cooper; and many beloved extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 9th, 11:00 AM at Kennesaw Memorial Park with Rev. Farren Roper officiating.
