I’ll be missing you
As I look up from my desk every time the hallway door opens, waiting to see you looking at me through the glass door standing there. No, you didn’t knock, I was just supposed to know you were there, and I did. You’d come in, look through the fridge, talk about how much money I spent on unnecessary stuff, and then help yourself to whatever. You’d make some tea, sit down, talk a while and then start your day. This was our morning ritual.
I would discover something new to help prevent Cancer and you would listen every time. I would make a new drink to help renew the body, and you were always there to test it out. You’d always encourage me to act on one of my talents just one, and believed that I would be successful.
You left the View to start yet another adventure. Although I missed your morning visits, hearing you speak words of encouragement and wisdom over the phone were enough.
Although I will never see you again in this life, I will always hear your voice telling me, encouraging me, mentoring me, laughing with me and most of the time at me, with that contagious laugh.
We shared so much, We laughed, cried, got angry at each other, stopped talking, forgave each other and then laughed about it … I will love you forever, you were not only my best friend, you were family…..
I’ll be missing you Kendrick Allen
You taught me so much, and for that, I will forever be grateful….
I’ll see you again in the next life; we shall laugh together again….
Love Always
