Kayla Marie Gray's Obituary
Kayla Marie Gray, 36, passed away on January 25, 2024. She was the oldest child of Anthony and Dawn Gray and oldest sibling to Ava, Jake, and Will. She was born in Lithia Springs, Georgia and lived in Hiram, Georgia. Kayla graduated from Hiram High School and attended Georgia Southern University. Kayla was a Pharmaceutical Technician for The Kroger Company for 15 years. She was loved and admired by her coworkers and customers in the community. Kayla had numerous certifications and was a well renowned tech expert. She belonged to Veterans of Foreign Wars where she volunteered her time to assist veterans fight for benefits across America and veterans with disabilities. Kayla donated and did fundraisers for the Starkey Hearing Foundation for helping hearing impaired people with testings, fittings, and hearing aid donations. She will be remembered by her love, friendship, and the all endless time she spent helping other people through work, volunteering, and making people laugh. She was a loving daughter and sister and a great friend. Kayla loved all of her dogs, her work, and her technology hobbies. She is survived by her parents Dawn and Anthony Gray, her siblings and their spouses Ava and A.J. Guthrie, Jake Gray and Kelsey Fulton, and Will Gray. Her grandmothers Linda Turley Rice and Kathleen Gray, and her five dogs Davie, Moose, Winnie, Roxie, and Penny. She also leaves behind her aunts and uncles Debbie and Gene Poche (Cody), Billy and Sheila Turley, Susan and Andre Jones (Alexis), C.J. and Tara Rice (Beckett), Jamie Rice, Tim and Bonnie Gray (Hillary, Savannah, Tate), and Greg and Stacey Gray (Bodey). She is preceded in death by her cousin Keane Poche, her grandfathers Wayne Gray and Cliff Rice, and her great grandparents Bill and Bernie Turley. The visitation will be held on January 31st from 1:00-3:00 p.m. followed by the memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
