Katherine Virginia Hutcheson's Obituary
Mrs. Katherine Virginia Hutcheson, 88, of Smyrna Ga, passed away January 31, 2018. Virginia was a native Atlantan and longtime member of Mount Harmony Baptist Church. She was working at the F.W. Woolworth Company as a secretary in April of 1957 when she met Albert Hutcheson. Four months later Albert became her beloved husband until his passing in 2008. She left Woolworth’s shortly after their marriage and dedicated herself to starting and raising a family. Becoming a mother and grandmother were the greatest joys of her life.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Greg & Selena Hutcheson; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bill Clark; son, Chris Hutcheson; grandchildren, Stephen Clark, Katherine Clark, Michael Clark, Sarah Clark, and Ansley Hutcheson; Brothers Ed Allen and Ralph Allen; nephews, David Allen and Larry Allen; nieces Debbie Prentis and Donna Perry;…and one granddog, Skooter.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 3, 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Dr. Randall Whitten officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
