Kathaleen Darnell DeLay's Obituary
Kathaleen Darnell DeLay, age 96, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026.
Kathaleen grew up in Crabapple (Roswell) and was the daughter of John and Leola Darnell. She lived on Oakdale Road from 1957-2021.
She was a longtime member of Pebblebrook Baptist Church where she found joy in attending revivals and singing with her fellow congregants. She had an unwavering faith and love for God and her community.
Kathaleen shared a profound bond with her husband Jack, with whom she traveled extensively. Together, they embarked on numerous camping missions, dedicating their time to helping build churches and serving those in need.
In addition to her parents, Kathaleen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Thomas DeLay, daughter, Donna DeLay, and son-in-law, Dan Reynolds.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Reynolds, her African grey parrot, Junior, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service honoring Kathaleen’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 16th 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Crest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held before the service from 1-2 PM.
