Karen Lowder's Obituary
Mrs. Karen Marie Riese Lowder, age 61 of Powder Springs, passed away October 28, 2012. Karen was born in Shell Lake, Wisconsin and graduated from Barron High School in Barron, Wisconsin and University of Wisconsin at Stout. She moved to Georgia in 1989, was a member of Full Life Gospel Ministries in Villa Rica, and worked at Quick Trip in Powder Springs. Karen liked music, especially classical music, and enjoyed playing the piano. She is survived by her husband, David Matthew Lowder, parents, Florence P. and Walter H. Riese of Barron, WI; sisters, Pat Riese & Carl Ball of Milwalkee, WI; Joanne Riese of Portland, OR; Mary Riese & Erik Riese of Minneapolis, MN; mother-in-law, Ruth Lowder of Davenport, IA; sisters & brothers-in-law: Karen & Gene Adolphi of Marietta, GA, Steve & Cindy Lowder of Davenport, IA, Ann Lowder of Davenport, IA, Tom Lowder of Blue Grass, IA, Bill & Sandy Lowder of Davenport, IA; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service to honor her life will be held at Davis-Struempf Chapel on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 6:30 PM with Rev. Johnny Hightower officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Thursday from 3 - 6 PM. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Chetek, Wisconsin at a later date.
