Julia "Judy" Jenkins' Obituary
Julia “Judy” Bogozan Jenkins, aged 79, passed away on August 20, 2022. She was born in Brunswick, Georgia on July 4, 1943. After graduating from South Cobb High School, she graduated from Marsh Business College. She was happily married to George Jenkins for 58 years this December.
Judy worked at Southern Bell as an administrative assistant and earlier as a supervisor of computer card-punchers. She was known to have a business set of skills sought by companies.
After retiring from Southern Bell, she devoted her time to her plants, gardening, cooking, yard sales, and her family. She rode her golf cart through sections of her lush garden, knock out roses, pergola, potted plants, and her “She Shed”. She loved the togetherness of family as she often hosted delicious family lunches at her home.
Judy is survived by her husband, George Jenkins; her sister, Johnnie Bogozan, and brother, Jody Bogozan (Judy); nieces, Martha Graham, Jenny Watts (Jubal); and nephew Joey Bogozan (Tara), and 8 great-nieces and great-nephews; her sister-in-law, Linda Garyantes, brother-in-law, Sid Jenkins (Carol), and other nieces and nephews. Judy is predeceased by her parents, John and Beatrice Bogozan, and four brothers: Benny, Buddy, Tommy, and Jimmy Bogozan. She is also predeceased by her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Anita and John Reily.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 31, at 11:00 at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home, Austell, Ga. A celebration of life will follow at 12:00 conducted by Sheree DeCouto, niece of George Jenkins. A private family burial will follow. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a memorial be given to the American Heart Association www.heart.org
