Mrs. Joyce Garmon,90 of Douglasville died Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Mrs. Garmon attended First Baptist Church of Douglasville and retired from Six Flags Over Georgia as a Supervisor of wardrobe after 26 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Garmon; Son, Jimmy Garmon; Granddaughter,Jamie Farmer Kuchinski; Grandson,Shannon Garmon Higgins and great grandson, Jacob Doby. She is survived by Daughters and son-in-law, Jeri & Benny Farmer of Douglasville, Anne Norton of Lithia Springs, Donna Jarrard of Dallas; Son and daughter-in-law, Tim & Shannon Garmon of Alabama; Daughter in law and husband, Barbara & David Higgins of Russellville, AK; 16 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren; Sister, Frances Rakestraw of Hiram; Brothers, Hollis Jones of Collinsville, AL, Carlos Jones of Hiram, Jimmy Jones of Douglasville and Lloyd Jones of Rome; Nieces & Nephews. Funeral Services will be held Saturday 3:00 PM, Davis-Struempf Chapel. Rev. Lloyd Jones officiating. Interment, Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
