May Joe's gentle soul rest in peace, and the Lord keep and protect his family. You are in our prayers. Joe will be missed by so many people, especially the St. Thomas family.##imported-begin##Emeka and Niki Ugokwe##imported-end##
Scarlett and Megan thank you for sharing your husband and father with us. I was truly touched by most of his homilies, I tried to implement them into my life. I was truly moved at the funeral today and had my own pastrami sandwich moment one Ash Wednesday. My thoughts and prayers go out for you and the rest of your family. Like many of my friends and associates in the Wildlife Resources Division, I will miss Joe. We find solace, however, in knowing that Joe is now home with our Lord in heaven. Joe's kind, patient and gentle spirit was of great influence on all who knew him at DNR. Joe found great pleasure in life's simple, yet richest blessings of family, friends and his love for the Lord. A great example for us all.##imported-begin##Dan Forster##imported-end##
Just found out about Joe's passing. So sorry to hear of this. Scarlett and Megan, Joe was a very good man who gave a lot for the Lord. I appreciate all he taught me and the time we worked together, and his prayers for me.
May God bless your hearts more and more with His peace, and may wonderful memories help to heal your sorrow.##imported-begin##Marsha Smith##imported-end##
Joe, you were my supervisor, coworker and my friend. You listened when I needed you to, and were kind in doing so. You cared for all of us at the License Unit, and we were not an easy assignment either! You have a very gentle, loving side, that even in the most trying times, would still show through. I am saddened by your leaving, when you had so much you were looking forward to in retirement.
Scarlett and Megan, your loss is great and I pray for you to find peace in your heart.##imported-begin##Susan Pursell##imported-end##
Although I worked for Joe, in the License Unit, for only 6 months prior to his retirement from DNR, even in that short period of time it was always evident in everything he said and did that he Loved his Family and DNR, cherished his relationship with Christ and only had the best interest at heart for those around him. Scarlett and Megan, my thoughts and prayers are with you during these times, but rest assured that his Love for you continues from above and that he now rests in the hands of God. God Bless you Joe, for your consideration during my hiring process with DNR and the generosity and kindness you exuded at all times.##imported-begin##Johnny Ray##imported-end##
Scarlett,
I am heartbroken hearing the news about your husband. I apologize that I could not be there physically to support you and your family, but I am and will continue to pray for you all through these times.##imported-begin##Markus Scott##imported-end##
Joe was a dedicated public servant and a wonderful colleague and friend. I remember my early days at the agency when we would get together just before leaving and talk about our plans.
He doted on his family. I will miss him very much.##imported-begin##Bill Boyd##imported-end##
I am glad to have known Joe whom I met many years ago. My heart goes out to you all for I talked with him a while back and he talked a lot about his family. In previous years, he did not seem one for talking. Some people come into our hearts and stay for a while and leave footsteps on our hearts and we are never the same.##imported-begin##Amy Elam##imported-end##
