Jorge V. Castillo's Obituary
Jorge V. Castillo, age 70, of Villa Rica passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Jorge was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico but spent most of his childhood years in Mexico City. He spent most of his time in Mexico City working in the family business until he moved to the US. He was an avid soccer fan and loved attending Atlanta United games, occasionally sneaking in a game when he was visiting family in Mexico. He had an avid love of travel with his favorite times being spent at the beach with family.
Jorge is survived by his wife of 31 years, Rebecca Castillo; children: Carlos Castillo (Marisol) of Marietta, Jorge Castillo of Monterrey, MX, Fernando Castillo of Monterrey, MX, and Kristina Hernandez (Jose) of Villa Rica; a brother: Angel Castillo (Leticia) of San Luis Potosi, MX; grandchildren: Alan Castillo, Jacky Castillo, Joceline Castillo, Adrian Castillo, Samantha Castillo, Chris Valdez, Deanna Castillo, Marcos Castillo, Elena Hernandez, Sebastian Hernandez and Lukas Hernandez; and many beloved family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Crescencio Castillo, mother Maria Isabel Castillo, son Marcos Castillo, brother Jesus Castillo, sister Lupe Castillo, and a grandson Fernando Castillo, Jr.
A memorial service honoring Jorge's life will be held on Saturday, December 21, 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Chapel. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 11:00 AM before the service.
