Johnathan Branson Keaton's Obituary
Johnathan Keith Branson Keaton, age 19 of Austell, passed away October 15, 2013. John grew up in the Mableton/Austell area. He graduated from Pebblebrook High School in May 2013, where he participated in football and wrestling. John also attended Wheeler High School as part of the Magnet program for Advanced Studies in Science, Math and Technology. John was highly motivated and had a love for challenging school work, and a passion for reading. Throughout his years in school he was presented with many awards for academic achievement. He received a scholarship at Georgia State University where was currently attending as a freshman. John was an energetic young man, working two jobs while attending college. He was employed by Waffle House and Longhorn, where he was employee of the month in July 2013.
John was a devoted family member. He was a role model for his sister and brothers. John will be greatly missed by his family, friends and colleagues. John's sweet smile will always be remembered. John is survived by his mother, Pamela Keaton of Austell; father, Douglas Branson of Erie, Pennsylvania; brothers: Doug Keaton, Malcolm Keaton, Dion Keaton, Spencer Keaton, all of Austell, and Marvin Sanders of Erie, PA; sister, Alicia Keaton of Austell; grandmother, Alice Branson of Erie, PA; grandfather, Billy (Bobby) Keaton of Alabama; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; god mothers, Janice Swofford and Isabel Pinto and his girl friend of 6 years, Shari King.
Family to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2 until 8 PM. Funeral service to be held at Davis-Struempf Chapel on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 3:00 PM. Interment to follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
