John Alexander Wallace's Obituary
John Alexander Wallace, age 25, of Powder Springs left us December 22, 2023.
John was born and raised in Austell and attended McEachern High School. He was a sweet soul with a strong, determined nature. If he put his mind to a task, he was able to complete it. John enjoyed the beauty of nature, loved taking walks, and treasured all animals, both great and small.
John had a way of making others feel comfortable. He acted as a shepherd to many, even placing his own troubles aside so that he could be a blessing to others. He had an infectious smile and a presence that was, without intending to be, the center of the room. His inner light, selflessness, humility, and loyalty will be a beacon to all and his family will dearly cherish his memory.
John is preceded in death by his grandparents, James Wallace and Denise Hampton; and uncle, Stephen King. He is survived by his wife, Chasity Perren Wallace of Austell; children, Sarenity and Hayden; father, Douglas Wallace of Powder Springs; mother, Kerri Wallace and Patrick Van Antwerp of Powder Springs; sister, Morgan Van Antwerp of Powder Springs; grandmother, Debbie Wallace of Powder Springs; grandfather, William King of Powder Springs; Nanny and Papa, Donna and Kenny Hester of Powder Springs; great-grandfather, Jerry and Margie Massey of Powder Springs.
He is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A funeral service honoring John’s life will be held Sunday, December 31, 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 before the service.
