John Thomas George Sr.'s Obituary
John Thomas George, Sr., 95 of Mableton passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Austell, The American Legion and he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a radioman. He is survived by son, John George, Jr, CPO USN Ret. of Powder Springs, daughter, Mary Miriam George Canales of Corpus Christy, TX, and son, Joseph Henry George of Hampton; ; 11 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Saturday 11:00 AM, Davis-Struempf Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel. Dr. Kenneth Ellison officiating. Interment will follow at Dawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Decatur. The family will receive friends Friday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
