John Bernard Evans' Obituary
John Bernard Evans, age 82 of Douglasville passed away March 7, 2024.
John was a longtime member of Orange Hill Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was a devoted Christian and was involved in many organizations. John was also a member of the Promise Keepers, an organization that bring godly men together to build a movement that inspires men to live out their values with integrity, become strong family leaders, and keep the Lord at the forefront of their daily lives.
John was a Master Craftsman and a “do it yourself” man. He took great pride in his green thumb abilities and was known to have the best looking yard in the neighborhood. John was a die-hard Tennessee Volunteers fan and could be found cheering them on in his spare time.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Evans.
John is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kris and Kim Evans of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Kristine Sigman; grandchildren, Victoria (Robert) Sigman Ray, Cooper Evans, and Coleman Evans; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Brayden Ray.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 15, 2024, 3:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service from 1:00-3:00PM at the funeral home.
