It was my pleasure to work with Johann for many years to further the goals of the Bankhead Boys Association. Johann took on many tasks without having to be asked. He will be sorely missed.
My sincere condolences to the Artigas family.

Johann shared his life with friends. I saw Mt Kilimanjaro and Nepal through his photos and written descriptions. Started with Printpack but extended to many old timers' lunches etc. He continued to consult after retirement showing how his experience was valued by everyone. To all of us he was still young in mind and body. Very sad to think he won't be with us next month to reminisce with us. One of many friends, Ron Komro

I was saddened to hear today about Johann's passing. I knew Johann when I worked at Printpack in Atlanta, and I have seen him many times since. He was a very pleasant gentleman to be around and with. He was conscientious in his work and dependable in every way. RIP sir, you will be missed. I offer sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Johann will be missed by his many friends in the Georgia Appalachian Trail Club. He was a hike leader and a great hiking and travel companion. He dedicated many hours to providing outdoor adventure opportunities to underserved Atlanta area youth as part of GATC's outreach program. RIP, Johann.
