Joe Berle Poole's Obituary
Joe “Berle” Poole, age 68, passed away Saturday February 9, 2019 at his home in Dallas, GA. He was born in Austell, GA to Dorsey and Odessa Watkins Poole and the youngest of 7 children. Berle graduated from Pebblebrook High School in 1969. A great athlete and natural leader, Berle soon found his passion in coaching local youth sports. This is where he would meet the love of his life Debra Susan Black Poole.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Debra and their children; daughter, Beth & Patrick Wright, and son, Bradd & Tamara Poole; five grandchildren, Tyler Poole, Dakotah Wright Wilkes, Tristan Wright, Lennon Poole, Laila Poole and great grandchild, Zander Wilkes. Also surviving is his sister Phyllis and Kenneth Barnes of Manteo, NC; and brother, Barry and Bobbie Poole of Mableton, GA; and so many more that proudly called him “Dad” “Pop”, “Paw Paw”, “Brother”, “uncle”, “Coach”, and anyone he met he called friend. Always the great storyteller, Berle could hold an audience captive with incredible detail and humorous delivery.
Services will be held Friday, February 15th 2019, at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home, 1975 East-West Connector, Austell, GA 30106.
