Joe Dobbins, Jr.'s Obituary
DOBBINS - Mr. Joseph Marion Dobbins, Jr., age 91, of Austell, died Saturday, September 17, 2011. Mr. Dobbins was a WWII veteran, having served in the U.S.Navy. He retired from Anderson Motor Company in Marietta, after 30 years. He was a member of Olive Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Dobbins was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Emalene Johnson Dobbins. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Kay Dobbins of Dallas, Texas and Steve and Deb Dobbins of Big Canoe, Georgia; granddaughter and husband, Lea Dobbins Singer and Jeff of Dallas, TX; and great-grandchildren, Drew and Beth Singer. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 12:00 PM, Davis-Struempf Chapel, with Dr. Marion Beaver officiating. Interment will be in Kennesaw Memorial Park, Marietta, GA. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home and Crematory, Austell, GA.
