Jody Smith's Obituary
Jody Smith, 71, passed peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, December 13, 2014. (12/13/14)
She never met a stranger and adopted every child she met. Everybody loved Granny.
Her life's work was interesting and her size never stopped her. She's driven 18 wheelers and dump trucks, waitressed at Waffle House many years, and retired from Old South BBQ.
Mama was an amazing, loving and accepting woman with a mouth on her that would make sailors blush!
She enjoyed pinching men and telling it like it is!
She will be sorely missed, and survived by Her Children - Regina Brantley, Chuck and Kathy Walker, Scott Walker and Cindy Holder, Mike Walker and Virginia Ramsey; Her Grandchildren - Erica and Mike, Justin, Mariah, Brandi and Jordan, Mikey, Daniel and Ashley; Her Great Granddaughter Rileigh; Her Brother David Randall, his sons Christopher and Davy, her Sister-in-law Linda Randall, and her children, Ricky and Amanda Randall; and our Father and Stepmother Ed and Carol Walker.
Granny also left behind my Closest Friends who also were her Children - Lynda and Darrell Becker, Randy, Mary and Liam, Krystal and Heather, Sami and Desi; Ronda Rose and Katie, Grace and Hannah; Kenny and Jimmy Patterson, Melissa, Martha and their Families.
Mama's passing took her away from more extended family and friends than I can ever fully mention. You know who you are :) And you know You were Loved.
Her memorial service will be 4:00 PM Sunday, December 21, at Davis-Struempf Chapel. The family will recieve friends from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM before the service.
