Jerry Jerome Zabawa's Obituary
Jerry Zabawa, age 60, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025. Born on July 14, 1965, Jerry lived a life marked by loyalty, love, and quiet strength. He will be remembered most for his big heart, for his unwavering devotion to his family, his generous spirit and his love to dig in the dirt.
For 25 years, Jerry was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Vicki. Together, they built a life rooted in commitment, companionship, and deep, enduring love. Jerry proudly embraced his role as a stepfather, raising three daughters—Brandy Priest, Candi Florence, and Kristin Mullins—with steady guidance and a full heart. His love for them knew no bounds, and they will forever carry the lessons and warmth he shared.
Jerry was a cherished grandfather to eight grandchildren: Riley Priest, Kailee Yarbrough, Daylon Richardson, Elizabeth Yarbrough, Brayson Florence, Kenzie Mullins, Brayden Barnes, and Kaiden Mullins. His legacy lives brightly in each of them. He also leaves behind his beloved great-granddaughter, Ivanna Mullins, who brought him immense joy.
Jerry is survived by his parents, Helen Pacheco and Albin Zabawa, and his stepfather, Brian Pacheco. He will be deeply missed by his siblings Suzanne Murphy, Donnie Zabawa, Joe Zabawa, and Geno Zabawa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Jerry’s life was one of dedication—devoted to his family, his home, and the people he cared for. His memory will be treasured always, and his love will remain an anchor for those who were blessed to know him.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 2:00-5:00 PM at 381 Ridge Point Drive Monticello, GA 31064. Please use the gate code 0381# to enter.
