Jeffrey "Alan" McCollough's Obituary
Jeffrey “Alan” McCollough, 59, of Douglasville passed away September 15, 2014.
He played football for the South Cobb Eagles from 1970-1973, where he was a Prep All American and named All State his senior year, and was awarded a scholarship to play football at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.
He worked at CSX Railroad and MARTA for a number of years.
Alan was preceded in death by his father W.K. McCollough, mother Rebecca McCollough and brother Keith McCollough. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patsy McCollough, his sons Jeffrey (Dara) McCollough, Joey (Elizabeth) and grandchildren, Madison (13), Colin (10), Megan (10), Ryan (4) and Davis (19 months). He is also survived by his sisters Joanne (Jerry) Ott of Trenton, GA, Nina (Mike) Lauter of Hiram, GA and brother Marcus McCollough of Austell, GA.
Services will be held at Davis- Streumpf Funeral Home in Austell on Saturday, September 20. Visitation for friends and family will be held from 11am to 2pm, services will be held immediately following.Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
