Jeannette Blount Wheeler's Obituary
Jeannette Blount Wheeler, age 75 of Powder Springs passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015. She retired after 30 years as a School Teacher, teaching in Lumber City, Forsyth, Gwinnett and Cobb County School Systems. In Cobb County, she taught at Milford and Powder Springs Elementary, Tapp Middle and Floyd Middle Schools. She worked part time at Rich's Department Store at Cobb Center. She was a member of the National Association of Education. Jeannette loved to travel and spending time with her family especially her grandsons. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Guy Catton of Powder Springs; grandsons, John Catton and Luke Catton. Graveside Services will be held Sunday 2:00 PM at Pinecrest Cemetery in Vidalia, GA. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4-8 pm at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home, Austell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the American Kidney Association, American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
