Jean Thompson Sims' Obituary
Jean Thompson Sims, age 83, of Mableton passed away March 27, 2022. Jean was born to Richard and Myrtle Thompson in 1939 and grew up in Eatonton, GA. She graduated from Putnam County High School. Jean spent a majority of her working years with Life of Georgia, where she served in the Executive Office for 39 years.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Myrtle Thompson; sister, Joyce Adams; and brother, Charlie Thompson. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Terry C. Sims; brother, Melvin Thompson (wife, Judy); and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Pastor Troy Hall officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mozley Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
