James Turner's Obituary
James Roy Turner, age 85, of Reynolds, GA passed away December 16, 2025.
James moved to Reynolds, GA in April of 2022, but had lived in Powder Springs most of his married life.
James was born in Bowdon, GA to Monroe and Arrie Turner, the eleventh of twelve children.
James is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Zandra James Turner; sons, James “Jimmy” Turner, Jr. (wife, Geri), and Rodney Monroe Turner (wife, Cindy); four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother.
James was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather; he was the epitome of a family man. His passions were hunting, gardening, and traveling. James made many memories traveling the country with Zandra, visiting almost every state, in their motor home.
To know him was to love him. He was the kindest person you would ever meet, and he will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, December 20th, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.
A funeral service honoring James' life will follow at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 20th, Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Kenneth O. Hennesy officiating. James will be laid to rest at Davis Chapel Cemetery following the service.
