James Phillips' Obituary
Mr. James Carol Phillips, age 80 of Mableton, passed away August 30, 2013. Mr. Phillips was a service engineer in various industries, a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Austell.
He is survived by his son, David Phillips of Austell; grandson, Vrixton J. Phillips of Mableton; brother, W.B. “Bill” Phillips of Hartwell; sisters, Elizabeth Wiley of Fayetteville and Birdie Hall of Piney View, WV; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his parents, W.M. and Esther Phillips; wife, Lunelle Phillips; and daughter, Janelle Phillips.
The memorial service to honor his life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Austell on Saturday, September 7 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Arnold Brown, Rev. Bill Rorie, Rev. John Darnell and Rev. Chris Humphries officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Parking Lot Fund, 4780 Flint Hill Road, Austell, Georgia 30106.
