James Joshua Moore's Obituary
James Joshua Moore, age 88 of Mableton passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at his home. He retired from Southern Railway after 44 years. James served in the Army Air Force in WWII, a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church and Chamblee-Sardis Lodge #444. J.J. enjoyed golfing with the members of Foxy Golfers, and loved working in his yard and garden.He was a devoted husband and loving father. Survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Buckner Moore; son, Doug (Kathy)Moore; daughter, Joyce (Benny) Howell; brother, Luther Moore;sister, Edna Whire; 4 grandchildren, Brian Moore, Christine Kalosky, Amy LeBlanc and Megan Kidd and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 15 at Davis-Struempf Chapel. Rev. Randal Whitten officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
