James (Jimmy) Henry Sprouse III's Obituary
Jimmy Sprouse, age 63, of Dallas, GA, originally of Bethesda, MD, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026, after a three-year battle with cancer.
Beginning his career in HVAC as a teenager, Jimmy spent more than 45 years in the trade. For the last 12+ years, he worked as an HVAC Supervisor on new home construction, partnering with builders to keep projects on schedule and installed correctly. Known for his exacting standards, he often taught younger technicians that if it's not installed well enough for your mom, there's more work to do. This is a philosophy he carried through decades of mentoring others in the field.
Jimmy was married to Michelle Pettit-Sprouse for 27 years and was a devoted father to his daughter, Sarah. He was a lifelong sports fan who followed SEC college football and other professional sports closely.
A memorial will be held Saturday, July 25th, 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home, 1975 East-West Connector, Austell, GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anne Perry Taylor and Dr. Henry Sprouse, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Pettit-Sprouse, of Dallas, GA; daughter Sarah A. Sprouse of Pullman, WA (Emily Jackson/Logan Strauss); and sisters Debi Sprouse (Decatur, GA), Connie Carter (Tom, Hartwell, GA), Nancy Olsen (Dan, Naperville, GA), and Cindy Gibson (Dillion, Andrews, NC).
