James Ronald Groover's Obituary
James “Ronnie” Groover, age 69 of Powder Springs, passed away January 14, 2022.
He is retired from General Motors after 31 years. He loved his family and spending time with them. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and as of late, he enjoyed cruising and listening to Bob Seger in his corvette!
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sue Groover; and his parents, Marguerite G. Fowler and Ralph M. Groover, Sr.
He is survived by his girls, Cindy McCoy of Powder Springs, Tina McCoy of Dallas, and Kim (Ray) Brown of Dallas; grandchildren, Justin and Christy Brown, Brandi Morgan, Jessica Morgan, Rachel Brown, and Jonah McCoy; five great-grandchildren, Brayden, Alaina, Brynlee, Jay, and Harper; sister, Jackson Marie Dodsworth; brothers, Butch and Sheila Groover, Raymond and Pam Groover; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 19th at 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Rollins officiating. Interment will follow the service at New Georgia Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM before the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at ALZ.org.
