His love for gardening and planting flowers brought beauty to his surroundings, and his travel adventures, both during his time in the United States Army and beyond, were stories he loved to share.
James was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge #3.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Barbry and Nadie Young Barbry.
